Day after Christmas… We decided to escape the suburban life into a peaceful serenity of Lake Tahoe. Packed our snow gear
and let’s not forget the kids, and headed out for 2 1/2 hour drive up the California Sierra Mountains into beautiful and scenic
Lake Tahoe. We have been to Vikingsholm Trail at Emerald Bay before but never went up to the waterfall… our kids were
too small then :). This time, our oldest, Elijah, was so amazing! This little trooper hiked all the way up without any complaints,
only grunting once in a while while going up the snowy steps. The youngest, David, had the best ride in town, sledding for the
most part of the hike. When we couldn’t use the sled anymore and he was forced to walk in the snow…the beautiful waterfall
noise was muffled by Davids waterfall shed of tears. Thank goodness that promising him candy can distract this little child!
“Chocolate, lolipop… I wanna candycane…. ummm… and lolipop…m-mm-mm-yum-yum!”
Well we made it! And it was wonderful to have a worry free day spent with my favorite boys!
